Canterbury Children’s Festival is back!

It starts today with a free event in the Marlowe Theatre Foyer with The Big Blue Hunt (Big Blue is lost…can we find him?!) and then continues for the rest of half term.

If you didn’t go last year, I can highly recommend it!

The Marlowe Theatre is wonderful at selecting children’s theatre shows and putting together events like this.

The little kittens in Pitschi, showing on Thursday, are sure to delight everyone who attends!

Recommended for children aged 2-7, the theatre explains that…

Pitschi doesn’t care for the rough and tumble and mischievous fun of kitten play, but instead dreams of being something else – a chicken, perhaps, or a goat, or a rabbit… for after all, anything is better than being a cat!

Come and enjoy this perfect show for young children, full of humour, music and adventure, with the story of a kitten that learns to be happy by being exactly what she is.

Based on the classic Swiss story that has delighted generations of children – and cat lovers – all around the world.

You can book tickets for this, and the other shows here.

As well as shows that you need to pay to see, there are a number of free events too.

You can learn how to be a pirate dinosaur, take a tour of the theatre and, among other things, join in with some kitten relayed crafts. The tea party next Saturday also sounds particularly lovely!

Although these events are free, you do need to book your places for them by calling the Box Office on 01227 787787.
