Recently The Bull’s Head in Chislehurst has had a revamp. They now have a beautiful tearoom serving delicious afternoon teas.
We were kindly invited along to try out their new menu.
The tearoom is beautiful…
…and the attention to detail is wonderful; the teacup light fittings are an inspired choice!
As well as traditional afternoon teas, you can order an ‘unusual afternoon tea’ which is served with a Hendricks Gin cocktail.
You can also order one with champagne.
It didn’t take long to decide…traditional for me, unusual for the other half!
Now I know we were told it was unusual, but we certainly didn’t expect this to arrive at the table…
…but it was brilliant! Gin in a teapot…poured into a teacup of raspberries and cucumber.
I was told it tasted great! Looked pretty impressive too.
Before long the food arrived.
This didn’t disappoint either.
Delicious sandwiches made with artisan bread, filled with coronation chicken, salmon and cream cheese, cheese and apricot chutney, ham and mustard and egg mayonnaise with cress.
Next there were a selection of petite fours and scones with clotted cream and jam.
Everything was delicious!
We’d definitely recommend the tearooms when you’re next in Chislehurst.
The afternoon tea is wonderful for a treat (£15 – £23 pp depending on the option you choose) but you can also go there for a cream tea, or a slice of cake and a cup of coffee!
