Free things to do this half term in Kent

Well half term is here and (at the moment) the weather seems to have brightened up a bit!

In can get expensive this week, trying to keep the children entertained. So our post today is all about things you can do for free.

Visit the Star Wars Exhibition at the Beaney in Canterbury.

Come and see one man’s toy collection of all things Star Wars. It is a great array of toys and posters and there is also a fun dressing up and colouring area. There is a box for donations if you’d like to contribute towards future special exhibitions at the Beaney.

Whilst you’re at the exhibition, the rest of the Beaney is well worth a visit.

Head to Waterstones for their story time

The Waterstones  in Tunbridge Wells offer story time on a Friday morning. It could well be worth giving your local branch a call and seeing if they are running anything similar.

Head over to Hempstead Valley for lots of free events

There really are some great play areas around the county. Cobtree Manor Park and Kearsney Abbey are our favourites at the moment!

If you know of any great free places to go or things to do, it would be lovely if you could add them to the Mumsnet Local site here.
