Although the summer holidays feel like a lifetime ago,
it really wasn’t that long since we spent six splendid days on the island.
We really ♥ it there!
So if you’re looking for a break that isn’t too far away, but feels far away,
then hop on that ferry!
This time we tried camping.
It was our first proper camping trip, and we loved it.
We researched all the campsites on the island, and went for Nodes Point.
It was an excellent choice.
The campsite has a mixture of pitches, caravans and lodges to choose from.
A short walk through one of the camping areas led to a beautiful beach – hours of fun were had here!
There is also a lovely pool complete with a slide (and various water activities that you can book places for).
On site, there is also a shop, entertainment room and restaurant.
We breakfasted in the tent but most of our other meals were had when we were out and about,
so it was great to have the convenience of a restaurant on site.
There was plenty to choose from on the menu – and always something that our boys liked.
The food was very tasty – and pretty good value for money too!
Our boys also really enjoyed the play area on site.
There was plenty of play equipment to keep a 6 and 2 year old happy!

There is always so much to do on the Isle of Wight – each time we’ve run out of time to do everything on our list.
Looking forward to our next visit already!
